Amelia Beckett is a multi award-winning journalist who is currently on the ITV News Traineeship 2021 at ITV Yorkshire. Prior to starting at ITV, she had been working as the sole reporter for Bauer Media at Greatest Hits West Yorkshire since December 2019. She reported daily on local breaking news stories while also producing original investigations, online content and social media videos.

Her reports included an exclusive investigation into rented accommodation in flammable buildings, disabled accessibility in GP surgeries and the relationship between paedophile hunting groups and the police.

Before taking on her role at Greatest Hits West Yorkshire, Amelia worked for Radio 4's consumer affairs programme You & Yours as an assistant producer while still completing her MA In Broadcast Journalism at The University of Sheffield. She regularly pitched original stories, wrote presenter scripts and briefs and fixed high profile guests.

She won the 2019 BJTC award for Best Radio News Report and 2020  IRN Student Journalist of the Year.
